SMPN 24 Penajam Paser Utara held 2026 Literacy Festival as an annual activity to improve literacy culture in the school environment. This activity aims to foster students' interest in reading, critical thinking skills, creativity and communication skills.

The Literacy Festival presents various educational and inspirational activities, such as poetry reading competitions, storytelling, book reviews, short story writing, speeches, and exhibitions of students' work. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will become more fond of reading, creating, and able to develop their potential according to the Pancasila Student Profile.
